Privacy policy
This policy describes how Aircraft Holdings LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the TypeCurrent app and this website. It is the privacy policy linked from the App Store listing and from inside the app. It is written so a reviewer or a pilot can read it without signing in.
Who we are
TypeCurrent is published by Aircraft Holdings LLC. Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, go to info@aircraftholdings.org. Write “Privacy” in the subject line.
What the app is
TypeCurrent is a study aid for aircraft type ratings and recurrent training. Packs contain flashcards, Number Lock, Say-It, a timed drill, and Daily Micro Learning. It is not an aircraft flight manual, a QRH, or a substitute for the documents for the airplane you fly.
Information the app collects
TypeCurrent does not require an account. We do not ask you to create a user name or password. Study progress, streaks, and which packs you have opened are stored on your device. We do not operate a server that receives that study data, and we do not sell personal information.
We do not collect, for our own use:
- Your name, email address, or phone number, unless you send them to us
- Precise or coarse location
- Contacts, photos, or microphone audio
- Advertising identifiers, or data for cross-app tracking
- Health, financial account, or government ID data
The app does not include third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Information you choose to send
If you use Report on a card, the app prepares a message to info@aircraftholdings.org. That message can include the aircraft pack, the card identifier, and the note you type. It is sent only when you choose to send it, through the mail app on your device. We use it to correct pack content. We keep correction correspondence only as long as we need it to fix the card and to answer a follow-up.
If you email support, we receive whatever you include: your email address, your message, and any device, iOS, or app version you add. We use that only to answer you. We do not add you to a marketing list.
Purchases
The app is free to download. Aircraft packs are annual auto-renewable subscriptions sold as Apple In-App Purchases. Payment is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card number. Apple may share a limited purchase record with us (which pack is entitled, and whether the subscription is active) so the app can unlock that pack. Apple’s handling of App Store account and purchase data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Cancel or manage an Apple subscription in Settings, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How we use information
We use information you send us to answer support, correct a reported card, and keep purchase entitlements working. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it. We do not use it to build a marketing profile.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Apple, to process an In-App Purchase of a pack subscription
- Our email provider, solely to receive and reply to mail you send to info@aircraftholdings.org
- A request we are legally required to answer, such as a valid legal process
This website is hosted so the pages can load. The host may keep standard connection logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to operate and secure the site. We do not use those logs to identify you for marketing.
Your choices and deletion
This section is the user privacy choices page for TypeCurrent.
- Study data stays on the device. Delete the app, or use the device’s offload and delete controls, to remove local progress and streaks. We do not hold a cloud copy to delete.
- There is no TypeCurrent account to delete. Guideline-style account deletion does not apply while the app has no account creation. If we add accounts later, we will add an in-app way to start deletion and we will update this page.
- To ask us to delete an email or a card report you sent, write info@aircraftholdings.org with the subject “Privacy deletion request.” We will delete the correspondence we still have, unless we must keep a record for a legal claim or a tax record of a purchase. We reply to a deletion request.
- Subscriptions are canceled in your Apple subscription settings, not by emailing us: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Children
TypeCurrent is a professional study tool for pilots. It is not directed at children under 13, and it is not in the Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email info@aircraftholdings.org and we will delete it.
Retention
Device study data stays until you delete it or delete the app. Email and card-report correspondence is kept only while we need it to respond or to correct content, then deleted or reduced to a non-identifying note of the content fix. Purchase records required for tax or disputes are kept for the period the law requires.
Security
Study data is stored locally on your device under iOS protections. Mail you send us travels by ordinary email. No method of storage or transit is perfectly secure.
International users
We are based in the United States. If you email us from another country, your message is processed in the United States. You may have additional rights under the law where you live (access, correction, deletion, or a complaint to a regulator). Email info@aircraftholdings.org and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will also note it in the app or on the App Store listing. The version at this URL is the current policy.
